A mortgage broking practice and a design studio, run out of one office in Melbourne. Every tool here was missing from our own working day first — which is why they are small on purpose: one file, no runtime to install, nothing running in the background you did not ask for.

The same kind of arithmetic, on the phone. Repayments with an offset you can move, borrowing power assessed at a buffer rate, the after-tax holding cost of an investment property, and employment income annualised from a payslip — PAYG withholding read straight from the ATO's own schedules. Every screen shows the assumption it used, so the number is something you can argue with. Nothing leaves the device.

PWE Monitor

A hardware monitor that lives beside your clock and reports through its own mark. Five feathers, five channels — memory, storage, power, GPU, CPU. Colour travels out along a feather as that part of the machine approaches its limit, so you know which subsystem is under load without reading a number. One app file; no Homebrew, no helper process.

一个住在时钟旁边的硬件监视器,用自己的标识汇报状态。五根羽毛,五个通道 —— 内存、存储、功耗、GPU、CPU。哪一路逼近上限,颜色就沿那根羽毛往外推进, 不读数字也知道是哪里在吃力。就一个 app 文件,不需要 Homebrew,没有辅助进程。

Every display on your desk, each with its own card in the menu bar: brightness, contrast, warmth, volume, resolution, orientation, input source, power and screenshots — the MacBook's own panel included. What a monitor cannot do is greyed out with the reason, rather than quietly doing nothing. Pro adds forced HiDPI, the setting that makes a 4K display's text as sharp as the built-in screen.

Your AI coding quota, in the menu bar. Every other meter reports how much is gone; this one spends its biggest number on whether you reach the reset at the pace you are actually working — and answers with a bound rather than a guess. Claude Code and Codex read from the real endpoints. It also comes and finds you when the quota resets, or when Claude is waiting on an answer and you have walked away.

The Windows companion to Mac Monitor. Same wing, same palette, same calm / warm / hot language — reading Windows-native telemetry through LibreHardwareMonitor instead. No accounts, no analytics, no crash reporting. Where a tool has no reason to reach the network, it does not have the code to.

没有账号、没有统计、没有崩溃上报。一个工具没有理由联网时, 它连联网的代码都不写进去。

One file, and it runs

Nothing to install first, no package manager, no background service left behind. Deleting the app really does remove it.

不需要先装别的东西,不需要包管理器,不会留下后台服务。 删掉这个 app,它就是真的没了。

A reading a machine cannot supply is shown as missing, never estimated into something that looks like a measurement.
